2018-09-04T20:10+10:00

Luke Dahlhaus has offically informed the Western Bulldogs he will be departing the club.

Dahlhaus, who has been heavily linked to Geelong, will move on from the club and try his hand at free agency.

The Dogs released the following statement:

"While the Club is obviously disappointed an agreement could not be reached, the Club maintains an obligation to be balanced in its approach across its entire playing group when making its list management decisions.

"The Club wishes to thank Luke for his eight years of wonderful service, including 154 games and his contribution to the Club’s 2016 Premiership. We wish Luke well for the remainder of his career."

Dahlhaus debuted in 2011 and was a key member of the 2016 premiership team, gathering 23 disposals and laying eight tackles in the Grand Final win over Sydney.

The 26-year-old has averaged 21.6 possessions per game and kicked 110 goals over the course of his career at the Whitten Oval.
