Magpies defender Goldsack set to re-sign for another year

2018-09-12T18:30+10:00

Collingwood defender Tyson Goldsack is poised to sign a new deal at the club.

The out-of-contract Magpie made a successful return from an ACL injury in last Saturday’s Qualifying Final against West Coast, after missing the entire home-and-away season.

Goldsack says the time on the sidelines made him realise just how much he loves the game.

“More or less we’ve agreed that I want to go on and the club wants me to stay around, so it's there,” Goldsack told SEN’s Time On.

“It’s not until you take something away and it’s like, gee I've missed that.

“I’ve seen it from a different side and the body’s fresh.”

Taken with pick 63 in the 2006 National Draft, the 31-year-old has played 162 games for Pies and was part of the club’s 2010 premiership.
