SEN Time On host Sam McClure has revealed the recommendations the competition committee has made to the AFL Commission.
“That word possible alongside the word rule changes has gone from possible to probable,” McClure told SEN Afternoons.
“The recommendations are as followed.
“The 6-6-6 set-up at all centre bounces. So there will be six from each team in each 50m arc and one in the goal square. Wingers can be anywhere along the side of the centre square for the bounce but they have to be on the centre square.
“The goal square to be extended to 18 metres, a restriction to runners for them only to be allowed on the ground after goals and there’s also going to be a tightening of up to eight of the rule interpretations, and the most prominent in that will be the incorrect disposal, which I believe will be tightened.
“There’s no reason to believe the commission won't tick off on the recommendations made by the competition committee.”
The competition committee was working out how to break the game back open, according to McClure.
