Will Demons swing a surprise Mitchell match-up tonight?

Melbourne co-captain Jack Viney could be tasked with the job of nullifying Hawthorn ball magnet Tom Mitchell in the Semi-Final tonight, according to Demons great Garry Lyon.

While many have nominated James Harmes as the man to try and curb Mitchell’s influence, Lyon says Simon Goodwin could go a different way.

“Don’t be surprised if he (Harmes) goes to (Isaac) Smith and Viney goes to Mitchell… that would be something to watch,” Lyon told SEN Breakfast.

However, Daisy Pearce believes Harmes is the ideal match-up for Mitchell.

“I think it’s a smart move to go after Mitchell,” she said.

“It’s the perfect match-up for Mitchell... Mitchell is renowned for his work at contest and winning clearances. Harmes can do some damage on the outside.”
