Edmund provides mega Wingard, May, Shiel trade update

2018-09-19T08:04+10:00

The Herald Sun’s Sam Edmund has provided a massive trade update on Chad Wingard, Steven May and Dylan Shiel on SEN Breakfast.

Chad Wingard

“Port Adelaide have given him license to shop himself around for lack of a better word, to assess the market.

“To be frank, they don’t think he is worth the money he is asking.

“I think there’s figures upwards of seven figures here in Melbourne.

“I think a team like the Western Bulldogs, who have pick six and Jackson Trengove has been in really close contact with his old mate back there Chad Wingard…that was initially explained as they’ve been in touch because Jackson is getting engaged. We are led to believe that’s not the case.

“The Western Bulldogs are up to their eyeballs, as are Hawthorn.”

SEN Breakfast with Garry Lyon and Tim Watson can be heard Monday-Friday 6-9am, and you can subscribe to the podcast here.

Steven May

“My understanding is Collingwood players have been told May is coming in and they’re going to play him in defence.

“What that means for Darcy Moore, we don’t know.”

Dylan Shiel

“They have exit interviews at the GWS today and tomorrow. He will either tell GWS he wants out in those exit interviews or just leading up to the exchange period.

“The Victorian clubs, and the AFL, are convinced that Dylan Shiel is going to come back now. Cue the feeding frenzy.

“St Kilda are into him, Carlton are into him, it is hard to see him wanting to start again almost after spending all those years of pain at GWS.

“You’d have to think they’re (Essendon) are interested in Dylan Shiel…more advanced than Carlton, they’ve got a good pick, pick eight, so you’d think they would be able to satisfy the Giants with that.”
