Following the retirement of Western Bulldogs' forward Jack Redpath, SEN Breakfast's Garry Lyon and Tim Watson discussed 'heart and soul' players and what it takes to become one.
“From the outside you go, Jack Redpath’s in their leadership group? How’s that come about?” Lyon said.
“Clearly what happens on the inside is different to what happens on the outside.”
SEN reghular and former Geelong midfielder Liam Pickering named a trio of heart and soul players from his time at the Cats.
“Leigh Colbert was that sort of player, Tim McGrath, Brad Sholl – he would do anything for you, just do anything on the ground to win,” Pickering said.
