Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley has praised the impact of promising young midfielder Brayden Sier in his maiden AFL season.
Sier, 20, made his debut in Round 15 against Gold Coast and has become regular fixture in the Magpies’ line-up, after two injury plagued years.
Buckley says the big-bodied on-baller is tailor made for finals football, and expects him to take his place in Friday’s Preliminary Final blockbuster against Richmond, after suffering a corked thigh against GWS.

“He finished a lot better, he was in some trouble through the middle of the game,” Buckley told SEN’s Whateley.
“As a young bloke, he’s done tremendously well, he’s built for finals.
“He’s clean, he’s hard inside and he’s added a bit of bite for us.”
Taken at 32 in the 2015 National Draft, Sier has been compared to Sydney midfielder Josh Kennedy.
