Could this Tiger be squeezed out of Punt Road?

2018-09-20T20:29+10:00

Former Richmond coach Terry Wallace predicts someone on the Tigers’ list will be squeezed out to accommodate the likely arrival of gun forward Tom Lynch.

Out-of-contract midfielder Reece Conca has been linked with a move back to Perth with Fremantle emerging as a reported suitor.

Wallace believes a trade could suit both parties.

COULD TIGERS BE SQUEEZED OUT TO ACCOMMODATE THE ARRIVAL OF TOM LYNCH?

“We know that the major part of Tom Lynch’s salary has come through the big players at the Richmond Football Club renegotiating their contracts and being able to spread things out,” Wallace told The Match Committee.

“From that point of view that’s certainly helped, but somebody’s going to fall out somewhere along the line.

“If Reece Conca wants the amount of money that he needs to set himself up for his life, going back home and securing of tenure, it might be a good deal for Reece Conca and a good deal for the Richmond Football Club.”

Taken with pick 6 in the 2010 National Draft, the 26-year-old has played 103 games for the yellow and back and will line up for the Tigers in tomorrow night’s Preliminary Final against Collingwood.
