SEN Time On host Sam McClure says Carlton will secure the services of Adelaide’s Mitch McGovern and Collingwood’s Alex Fasolo during the upcoming trade period.
The Crows forward recently requested a trade from the club, while the out-of-contract Fasolo looks set to find a new home.
McClure explained how the deal involving McGovern and the Blues could take a little longer than expected to finalise.
FASOLO MOVING “CLOSER” TO JOINING CARLTON REPORTS MCCLURE
“Mitch McGovern is going to be playing for Carlton next year, barring a catastrophe,” McClure told SEN’s Time On.
“The fact that Carlton didn’t get a priority pick has thrown a spanner in the works, but given the Blues have A) two picks in the 20s, and B) they’ve allowed to on-trade these pre-selections of mature-age picks.
“They will get the deal done, but it will take longer than first thought.
“Alex Fasolo will join Mitch McGovern at Carlton.
“He’s out of contract, he’s a free agent and he will join Carlton on a three-year deal.”
