Is a star Magpie defender heading west?

2018-10-02T09:16+10:00

The Herald Sun's Sam Edmund has revealed that there have been whispers that the Fremantle Dockers are interested in Collingwood defender Tom Langdon.

While Langdon had been in and out of the side in previous seasons, the medium-sized defender cemented a spot this year and showed off his intercept marking prowess in the team's losing Grand Final performance.

"You know he has a brother that he has a brother that plays football for Fremantle," said Edmund.

"There's been... whispers... that the Dockers might be into Langdon of the Collingwood variety.

"Maybe 500 or 600 a year, is the rumoured figure there from the Dockers. So, a sizable wedge."

Garry Lyon questioned the organisation of Collingwood's back six.

"[Liam Pickering] has said 'if Collingwood want [Darcy Moore], Darcy's gonna stay.'

"Surely you gotta get that sorted out.

"Tom Langdon who's been magnificent in the finals series, is sitting there without a contract.

"I don't know why."

Tom's brother Ed Langdon has played 46 games for Fremantle.
