Out-of-favour Suns youngster seeking return to Victoria

2018-10-02T11:55+10:00

Gold Coast youngster Jack Scrimshaw wants to return to Victoria, according to his manager Robbie D’Orazio.

Scrimshaw was taken at pick 7 by the Suns in the 2016 National Draft but has played just the four games since making his debut last year.

The talented defender is contracted until the end of 2020, but has been out of favour in his two seasons on the Sunshine Coast.

D’Orazio says his client has found the going tough at the Suns and confirmed a move to a Victorian club could be on the cards.

"Jack Scrimshaw has found it a little bit tougher," D'Orazio told NAB AFL Trade Radio.

"It was an interesting draft, it was all interstate clubs in the majority of that top 10 and Jack was such an elite talent he was always going to go in that top 10.

"He probably just didn’t fit into the environment up there, and that’s nothing against the football club, he probably needed to be home more regularly.

"If Jack could get home we would probably look at doing something."

Carlton has shown interest in securing the signature of the 19-year-old.
