Swans footy boss confirms talks with trio of trade targets

2018-10-05T09:24+10:00

Sydney footy boss Tom Harley has provided an update on a trio of players who are reported targets of the Swans in the upcoming trade period.

Speaking on SEN Breakfast, Harley confirmed the club have been in dialogue with three players regarding a potential switch to Sydney.

Aaron vandenBerg (Melbourne):

“We were made aware of that, and it’s not often being a Sydney club that you get the go-home factor coming your way.”

“We’ve been open to exploring that. We’ve been liaising with Melbourne around that and had a conversation with Aaron.

“If we can facilitated something that would be great. There’s a lot of water to pass under the bridge, but that is one we’ve shown interest in.”

__Ryan Clarke (North Melbourne): __

“That was really early on in the piece with North so they’re across that, so hopefully we can get something done with North early on in the trade period.”

Taylor Duryea (Hawthorn):

“He did (have a medical).

“We’ve cast our net pretty wide early days. He’s obviously a free agent at the Hawks at the moment and we were out of the finals probably earlier than we have been in the past.

“We used that opportunity to have a look and talk to a few players and he was one of them. Nothing has progressed at a great speed with that but he certainly has been a player of interest.”

Harley also quashed rumours of the club making moves for Gold Coast defender Steven May and GWS midfielder Dylan Shiel.
