Fremantle CEO Steve Rosich has made it clear the club wants to keep Lachie Neale.
The star midfielder continues to be heavily linked with a trade period move to the Brisbane Lions.
On NAB AFL Trade Radio’s The Late Trade, Damian Barrett asked: “Have you ruled out Lachie Neale being at your club next year?”
To which Rosich replied: “Certainly not. We remain positive he’ll be at our footy club not just next year, but beyond that.”

Quizzed further on the potential situation which could see Neale traded to the Lions in exchange for their early selection at the draft, Rosich was adamant that was not an option for the Dockers.
“If Brisbane saw fit to offer pick 4 for Lachie Neale, we wouldn’t be accepting of it,” he added.
“We want to retain Lachie.”
