How much money did Shiel turn down to nominate Bombers?

2018-10-10T06:33+11:00

Shiel turned down bigger financial offers from St Kilda, Carlton and Hawthorn, which is one element that speaks volumes of Essendon, according to Lyon.

“They had the lowest offer in for this man and they’ve secured him, despite some eye-watering financial inducements from other clubs.

“I believe St Kilda’s offer over seven years was more than three million dollars more than what Essendon offered.”

Greater Western Sydney and the Bombers have until next Wednesday night to strike a deal for Shiel.
