North Melbourne is set to land Dom Tyson, in a straight swap with Melbourne for ruckman Braydon Preuss, according to the Herald Sun’s Sam Edmund.
“As it stands right at this point in time, Dom Tyson will play for North Melbourne next year…it will be a three-year deal and it will be at the moment a straight swap for Braydon Preuss,” Edmund told SEN Breakfast.
“I think he (Tyson) has rejected a massive deal from the Gold Coast Suns, it might even be as big as five years, he has knocked that back. He wants to stay in Melbourne.
“Braydon Preuss going the other way, it’s a four-year deal from the Demons.”

Tyson played 17 games this season, averaging 20 disposals, while Preuss failed to make a senior appearance for the Kangaroos.
Melbourne great Garry Lyon thinks the deal will benefit both parties.
“I think this is one of those ones where you can mount a case for a win-win,” he said.
“He has been squeezed out, Dom, he is a fantastic kid.
“One of the most ripping kids, works hard, finds the footy always but there is a different midfield mix at Melbourne, and Melbourne needs a back-up ruckman.”
