Preuss and Gawn could be a formidable duo: Goldstein

2018-10-10T15:11+11:00

North Melbourne ruckman Todd Goldstein says Braydon Preuss could form a formidable partnership with Melbourne ruckman Max Gawn.

Preuss is reportedly closing in on a move to the Demons, with midfielder Dom Tyson set to join the Kangaroos in a straight swap deal.

The 23-year-old has struggled to dislodge Goldstein as the club's number one ruckman, failing to register a senior AFL game in 2018.

“They’re going to get another very, very big body and another strong ruckman,” Goldstein told SEN Afternoons.

“I think he’s showed two years ago that when he’s up and firing how hard he is to move and how hard he is to play against.

“If they can find a way to make him and Max Gawn work together, it’s going to be a pretty formidable duo, because they’re both very, very big men and very hard to move.

“We’re all going to have our work cut out for us I think.”

Preuss has played eight games for the Roos since debuting in 2017.
