Tom Scully, pick number 1 in the 2009 AFL Draft, has been traded to Hawthorn in exchange for a future fourth round pick.
The Hawks appear to have pulled off a coup this NAB AFL Trade Period, snagging talented youngster Jack Scrimshaw and one of the best gut-runners in AFL history in Tom Scully for future third and fourth round picks.
Scully played 31 games for a struggling Melbourne Demons side before moving to GWS in a huge six-year signing for the GIANTS.
He has since suffered ankle issues that have restricted him from playing to his potential, but must hope the Hawks medical team can help get him back on track.
