Menzel, Murdoch delisted by Geelong

Geelong has delisted experienced duo Daniel Menzel and Jordan Murdoch.

Menzel, 27, played 73 games and booted 136 goals after overcoming four knee reconstructions during his time at the Cats.

Murdoch, 26, played 108 games and kicked 73 goals after making his debut in 2012.

Cats GM of Football Simon Lloyd paid tribute to Menzel for his resilience and determination to come back from so many setbacks.

“Dan’s perseverance and resilience to undergo four major knee operations and come back the way he has is a credit to his work ethic and mental toughness,” Lloyd told Geelong’s website.

Lloyd also praised Murdoch for his contribution to the club.

“Jordan showed great commitment and dedication during his time with the club, and we thank him for his efforts over the past seven years,” Lloyd added.

“Everyone at the club wishes Daniel and Jordan well in their future endeavours.”
