Former Geelong forward Daniel Menzel underwent a medical at Sydney on Wednesday, according to The Age.
The report states the Swans are doing their due diligence on the luckless Cat before deciding whether to table an offer for the delisted free agent.
Menzel has suffered four knee reconstructions throughout his career but was sidelined by a mysterious groin injury for a large portion of last season.
After playing 73 games and booting 136 goals for the Cats, Menzel will be hoping to continue his AFL career with the Swans.
Sydney added North Melbourne midfielder Ryan Clarke and Menzel's former Geelong teammate Jackson Thurlow during the trade period.
