Sheehan names who he would take with pick one

AFL draft guru Kevin Sheehan has named who he would take with pick one at this year’s National Draft.

Sheehan says Geelong Falcon’s prodigy Sam Walsh or injured Sandringham Dragons forward Max King are the two he would select if he had the choice, and believes up to six players are good enough to be taken with the coveted pick.

MCCLURE: “HE WOULD’VE BEEN TAKEN AT PICK ONE HAD HE NOT DONE HIS KNEE"

“Max King and Sam Walsh, they’d be the two in the frame,” Sheehan told SEN’s KB and The Doc.

“I could add another four to that because I think that Jack Lukosius, Izak Rankine, Ben King and Nick Blakey are all outstanding prospects and in any given year could go at one.

“There’s not much between them - I think they all should be special players and I would be making them in as 200 gamers for a start.

“I reckon there’s a great group of boys there that are going to be 200-game players and more with their ability, and that includes Sam Walsh and Max King.”

Walsh is the favourite to be the first name read out by the Blues on draft night on Thursday, November 22 at Marvel Stadium.
