The Footy Show is set to return in 2019, but it will undergo a complete overhaul with Eddie McGuire and Sam Newman not returning as hosts.
Instead, the duo will put together ‘Footy Show specials’ that will air throughout the year.
Newman signed a multi-year deal with Channel Nine according to McGuire.
Nine will still air a weekly AFL show with a different panel and format in 2019.
The Footy Show experienced a significant drop in ratings in 2018 as Channel Seven’s The Front Bar took over the time slot and won over fans.
