Adelaide key defender Daniel Talia will undergo surgery on his left knee.

It’s expected that Talia will resume pre-season training with the Crows in the new year.

High Performance General Manager Matt Hass confirmed the 27-year-old will be sidelined for a portion of the club’s pre-season.

“He’s aggravated an old injury in an innocuous incident at home.” Hass told Adelaide’s official website.

“The procedure will interrupt Daniel’s preseason and the club will provide an update on the timeframes around his rehabilitation once the surgery has been completed.”

The dual All-Australian has played 164 games for the Crows since debuting in 2011.
