Dahlhaus regrets reaction to Murphy criticism

2018-12-12T17:56+11:00

Geelong recruit Luke Dahlhaus says he regrets the way he reacted to criticism from former Western Bulldogs captain Bob Murphy.

Murphy questioned Dahlhaus’ dedication and hunger which prompted an aggressive response from the former Dog via Instagram.

While admitting the comments were hurtful, Dahlhaus says he has cleared the air with Murphy since the two exchanged barbs.

“Obviously I wasn’t happy with the comments,” Dahlhaus told SEN.

“I see myself as someone who works his backside off every day of the week and especially on game day as well. There were some comments that were hurtful, but I’ve completely moved on now.

“We’ve spoken a couple of times and cleared things up. I wasn’t happy with the way I reacted and it just showed mentally how drained I was and let some emotions bottle up at the time.

“If I had my time again, I definitely wouldn’t have done it the way I did. It feels good to have that break and be back at a new club, so I’m feeling ready to go more than ever.”

The 26-year-old joined the Cats on a four-year deal after requesting a trade from the Bulldogs.
