Australian coach Justin Langer has given an update on test opener Aaron Finch after the Victorian was struck on the finger yesterday.
Finch was forced to retire hurt on the cusp of tea and was taken to hospital for an X-ray.
Thankfully, he’s a chance to resume his innings tomorrow.
“He’s had an X-ray, it’s not fractured which is really great, really positive for us,” Langer told SEN Cricket.
“He was playing so well.
“It’s nice to have Finchy being able to bat hopefully in the second dig. Every run here is very important.”
A fired-up Langer said he expects the Aussie bowlers to return some of the aggressive bowling dished up by the Indians yesterday.
“India bowled really aggressively in that last session and we’ll take some lessons and hopefully give them some of the same back in the second innings,” he said.
