Australian coach Justin Langer has loved the back-and-forth we’ve seen in this Test match between captains Tim Paine and Virat Kohli.
The two have been overheard jawing at each other on stump mic at several stages over of the five days and Langer said he’s all for it.
Paine and Kohli’s fiery exchange
“It’s been brilliant,” Langer told SEN Cricket.
"I’ve talked from day one that banter is really important in test cricket and at no point has there been any abuse, which is a positive thing.
“The other thing about Tim Paine, as tough as he is, he hasn’t got a bad bone in his body. There’s been some good old-fashioned Aussie humour, and I like that.
“That stuff’s good and entertaining for the game.”
Australia looks set to tie the series 1-1 going into the Boxing ay test, requiring four wickets to win in Perth.
