Dean Jones crafted one of the most epic innings in Australian cricket history, scoring a gutsy 210 in a knock that would define his cricketing career.
Played in oppressive 40-degree heat with humidity levels at around 80 percent inside the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Madras, Jones battled dehydration and major cramping throughout his eight-hour stay at the crease.
Despite being physically sick at times, the Victorian fought hard early before opening the shoulders once he passed 100, with his last hundred coming in just 66 balls.
After he was finally dismissed, Jones had to be taken to hospital such was the state of his physical condition.
Australia and India played out just the second tied Test in one of the most thrilling finishes in cricket history.
