Port Adelaide premiership player Kane Cornes has declared his early premiership favourite going into the 2019 season.
Cornes feels crosstown rivals Adelaide are set to return to their 2017 form.
“I think they’re going to win it,” Cornes said of the Crows on SEN SA Breakfast.
“I think the Crows are going to win the premiership.
“I’m happy to say, a lot needs to go right, I’m not flippantly just saying that, but if I had to pick a team to win the flag right now, I’m tipping Adelaide.
“They couldn’t have had a worse year last year, but you look and they won 12 games.
“They play 11 games at home, they’re going to win 10 of those.
“If they’re fit and they’re healthy, I say it through gritted teeth, but they’re going to be right up there.”
Adelaide has the second easiest draw in 2019 according to Champion Data.
They also rank the Crows as having the second best list in the competition behind Melbourne.
