Which player is a lock for AFL Fantasy in 2019?

2019-01-16T16:15+11:00

AFL Fantasy expert Adam 'Warnie' Child says Collingwood ruckman Brodie Grundy should be a lock in everyone’s fantasy teams in 2019.

With Mitchell expected to miss the entire season through injury, Child believes the Magpies big man is a must for all fantasy line-ups.

“I think this year it is Brodie Grundy for me,” Child told SEN Afternoons.

“He’s a machine and he might be 10 or even 20 plus points better than the next best ruckman the way he plays the game.

Selecting players that can play in more than one position is also a recommended tactic for fantasy lovers, according to Child.

“If you do have a dual position player that’s staying in midfield and you need to switch around for the week, they can go a fill a role in a number of spots,” he added.

“As forwards, those players who have got midfield status next to them, they’re usually the better fantasy players.

“When you’re looking at a guy like Buddy Franklin, fantastic player, he’s a straight forward, and you can see that a (Patrick) Dangerfield scores more than him because of the role that he plays.”
