2019-02-15T09:40+11:00

The Super Rugby season is upon us and Super Rugby Live will be there calling the action of Melbourne Rebels and NSW Waratahs home matches like never before.

Crocmedia will create a new broadcast product, Super Rugby Live Radio, which will feature two sub-products, Rebels Radio and Waratahs Radio, to broadcast home matches for each team throughout the 2019 Super Rugby season.

Retired rugby union footballer and coach Adam Freier will join accomplished Australian sports and travel presenter Will McCloy for the first ever ‘Waratahs Radio’ broadcast this Saturday night on the Super Radio Network, with ‘Rebels Radio’ making its debut on Friday March 1 on 1377 SEN+.

Super Rugby Live will be there for every try, tackle, big hit and line break across all eight home matches for both teams.

Crocmedia Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Craig Hutchison said Super Rugby fans will be impressed with the fantastic new content in the 2019 season.

“We are thrilled to add Super Rugby to our radio line-up and innovate across Melbourne and NSW,” Hutchison said.

“Super Rugby is an exciting sport and fits perfectly into our whole of sport and live play-by-play agenda,” Hutchison said.

Crocmedia will also provide live coverage of all domestic Qantas Wallabies Test matches, commencing in 2019.

Rugby Australia Chief Commerical Officer, Cameron Murray applauded the new partnership. “Having a partner like Crocmedia come on board for the next two years provides a huge boost to Rugby coverage at both Vodafone Super Rugby and Qantas Wallabies level and offers fans more great quality content,” he said.
