Will Setterfield is “firming” to make his Carlton debut in their Round 1 clash against Richmond, according to SEN Time On host Sam McClure.
Setterfield joined the Blues after an injury-interrupted two-year spell at GWS where he registered just two games.
The 21-year-old ruptured his ACL in a practice game and missed the entire 2018 campaign for the Giants.
“I’m interested in who the bolters are going to be early in the season,” McClure told SEN’s Time On.
“From a Carlton standpoint, I can tell you that Will Setterfield, who has only played two games for GWS, is firming for a Round 1 debut against the Tigers."
Setterfield was one of four players to arrive at Ikon Park during last year’s trade period, along with forwards Mitch McGovern, Alex Fasolo and defender Nic Newman.
Carlton take on the Tigers in the traditional season opener on March 21st at the MCG.
