It can only be described as one of the greatest chokes in cricket history.
The Melbourne Stars were in cruise control at 0/93 in pursuit of the Melbourne Renegades score of 5/145 in today's BBL final.
Requiring 53 runs from 43 balls with 10 wickets in hand, the Stars lost 7/19 in 30 balls in an astonishing implosion when they seemed destined to win the all-Melbourne decider.
Stoinis (39), Dunk (57), Handscomb (0), Maxwell (1), Maddinson (6), Gotch (2) and Bravo (3) were the seven victims in an unbelievable five-over period.
Falling to 7/112 and the run rate climbing, the Stars never recovered and fell 13 runs short to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
