Duke basketball sensation Zion Williamson has suffered a knee injury in today’s game against North Carolina, after his shoe exploded early in the game.
Williamson, the likely number one pick in this year’s NBA Draft, was driving into the key when his shoe completely gave way.
The 18-year-old is a genetic marvel, standing at 201cm tall and weighing 129 kilos. He’s made a name for himself as one of the best dunkers in college basketball history.
NBA Draft expert for The Ringer, Kevin O'Connor, believes Williamson could be the best prospect the association has seen since Anthony Davis or even LeBron James.
Duke tweeted the injury suffered in the shoe explosion was a knee injury which would see him miss the remainder of the game.
UPDATE: Zion Williamson will not return. Knee.
