North Melbourne coach Brad Scott says Aaron Hall suffered a minor tweak to the medial ligament in his left knee during Saturday’s JLT match against St Kilda.
Hall, 28, was assisted from the ground after Saints big man Lewis Pierce collapsed on his knee during the first quarter of their pre-season encounter in Werribee.
The former Sun returned to the field during the second quarter with his knee strapped, before taking no further part in the second half as a precautionary measure.
“Hally is ok,” Scott told SEN Breakfast.
“It’s exactly what we suspected on the day which was just a little tweak of his medial. It was good enough to go back on, but he just felt a little bit of discomfort.
“Given he is a pretty explosive player, there’s no point having him hobbling around out there in a JLT game.”
Hall was traded to the Kangaroos in October after playing 103 games for Gold Coast.
The Roos face Port Adelaide in their second JLT hit out at Alberton Oval on Saturday.
