The AFL will announce this year’s Grand Final will remain at 2:30pm at tonight’s season launch, according to Fox Footy.
The report states the AFL Commission has decided not to change the traditional afternoon start to a twilight or night fixture.
Both Commission chairman Richard Goyder and AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan have voiced their approval towards a twilight Grand Final.
Since 2001, every Grand Final has started at 2:30pm with no premiership decider starting any later than 3pm in VFL/AFL history.
