St Kilda defender Dylan Roberton will not play in 2019 as he steps away from football because of heart issues.
Roberton told teammates on Friday that he would sit out the season, but has not yet chosen to retire.
He will reassess the situation in 12 months.
Roberton reportedly said he felt wonky after the Saints’ JLT Series win over the Western Bulldogs.
The defender collapsed half-way through last year and sat out the remainder of 2018 with the heart issue.
