Championship-winning NBL coach Brendan Joyce believes LeBron James is the greatest basketballer of all-time.
The debate as to whether Lebron or Michael Jordan is the superior player is one of the most popular topics in sport, but Joyce has sided with the Los Angeles Lakers superstar.
“This is going to upset some people … he is the greatest player of all time,” the former Boomers coach told SEN Afternoons.
“I know (Michael) Jordan has won his six championships, but LeBron has won three now and he has lost five or six of them.
“Just for the type of player he is, he’s a player that can play from one to five all positions. He’s played in really ordinary teams, Michael Jordan couldn’t win until he had all the surrounding support staff.
“One-on-one LeBron is giving it to him, he’s four or five inches taller than him - he’ll overpower him.”
LeBron, 34 has won three NBA championships and is a four-time MVP and three-time Finals MVP with the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Jordan won six NBA titles with the Chicago Bulls and was Finals MVP in all those triumphs. He also is a five-time NBA MVP.
