Emotional Watts admits "pure relief" after Power down Dees

2019-03-23T16:53+11:00

An emotional Jack Watts has spoken of his “pure relief” after Port Adelaide’s upset win over Melbourne at the MCG on Saturday afternoon.

Watts, speaking to Fox Footy after the match, spoke candidly about how he’s struggled this off-season, after a video leaked of him snorting a white substance at an Oktoberfest event.

"I had weeks where I didn't want to get out of bed, mate," Watts said.

"I've probably never, ever experienced anything like that.

"I'll cop more shit from the people saying I'm no good at footy for a thousand years compared to what I've been through the last few months."

Watts played his part for the Power, gathering 22 disposals and taking nine marks for the day in the 26-point win.

He was booed by the Demons faithful all afternoon, despite the fact that Melbourne were the ones who asked him to find a new home during the 2017 trade period.
