Senior journalist for Channel Seven Mark Stevens is reporting Essendon’s Jake Stringer is awaiting results on a foot injury.
The Bombers are awaiting confirmation, but the worst case scenario could be surgery and time out of the game.
“Jake Stringer played yesterday, probably in the final 10 minutes of the game, he had a kick late in the game and felt some real pain on top of his foot,” Stevens told SEN’s Whateley.
“He’s just had a scan Stringer and the feeling is it could go one of two ways.
“Either he will play or believe it or not, he could face surgery so we’ll know in the next hour to just how severe that is.
“It could be a potential bone injury in his foot, so a very nervous wait for Stringer.
“The worst case scenario is surgery and a long-term injury. We’ll know more soon.”
