Former West Coast forward Scott Cummings has slammed the “absolute cowards” behind racist comments towards Liam Ryan.
Ryan was at the centre of a post by Channel Seven's Instagram page, debating whether or not he should be suspended following his incident with Brisbane defender Darcy Gardiner on Saturday night.
The post was subsequently met by comments from racist online trolls, which Cummings is outraged by.

“It is a disgrace,” the former Eagles forward told Footy WA.
“It comes from absolute cowards sitting on their couch, and you know what, not their couch, their parents’ couch because they wouldn’t be able to afford their own.
“You’re pathetic, you’re dinosaurs and your attitudes do not reflect most of the country so get your head out of your backside and sit back and actually watch these boys do their work.”
Ryan’s West Coast premiership teammate Nic Naitanui was one of a number of players who threw their support behind the Eagles forward.
Ryan was fined by the MRO on Monday night following his incident with Gardiner.
