Hawthorn defender tears ACL and PCL in VFL practice game

2019-03-26T17:46+11:00

Hawthorn rookie Tim Mohr has ruptured his ACL and PCL and will miss the remainder of the 2019 season.

Mohr was rushed to hospital after dislocating his knee in the opening minutes of a VFL practice match on the weekend.

Hawks Physical Performance Manager Luke Boyd broke down the situation.

“Unfortunately, he has had significant damage around that knee,” Boyd told the Hawthorn website.

“He is booked in for surgery today and at this stage he is going to miss a large chunk of football.

“We will keep you updated in the coming weeks on how he is going.”

Mohr played 48 games for GWS between 2012 and 2018 before being picked up in the rookie draft by Hawthorn at the end of 2018.
