SEN Breakfast host Garry Lyon has slammed two Essendon players for running off the ground when the footy was there to be won during the first quarter against St Kilda.
With the ball in dispute on the wing, Essendon’s Matt Guelfi and Kyle Langford overran the footy and instead of turning around and chasing the St Kilda player with the ball, they simply came to the bench.
Lyon ripped them to shreds for giving up on the play.
“That is appalling. That is just appalling football,” Lyon told Fox Footy.
“They just stopped playing the ball and ran off the ground.”
