Melbourne United title winner re-joins former club

2019-04-15T18:47+10:00

Craig Moller has departed Melbourne United and chosen to re-join the Sydney Kings.

Moller enjoyed a two-year stint with Melbourne and was a member of their championship-winning squad in 2017/18.

The 24-year-old spent three years at AFL club Fremantle before joining the Kings as a development player in 2015/16 on a two-year contract.

Moller joins former United teammate Casper Ware in defecting to the Harbour City.

“The opportunity to return home to Sydney was one that I couldn’t pass up,” Moller told sydneykings.com.au.

“I think two years in Melbourne has really helped me grow and develop and I obviously loved being able to play under Deano (Dean Vickerman) and winning a Championship there, but I’m hoping I can bring that back to Sydney.

“Bogues (Andrew Bogut) is a massive selling point, just being able to learn from and play with someone of his calibre is something I’m super excited about, and Casper (Ware) is just the cherry on top having already played with him before."
