Frederick-Traub latest to join AFLW Tigers

2019-04-16T17:09+10:00

Richmond has signed former Brisbane marquee forward Sabrina Frederick for the 2020 and 2021 AFLW seasons.

Frederick left the Lions to be closer to her partner in Victoria and will give the Tigers a scary looking forward line on paper. Brisbane will receive pick 12 in exchange for her.

She joins former Bulldogs captain Katie Brennan and 2018 All-Australian Christina Bernardi as high-profile recruits for the club.

The 22-year-old had a down year for the Lions, only kicking the one goal in seven games, but kicked 14 in the first two seasons and remains one of the best contested marks in the game.

Her ability to play in the ruck and in the midfield gives her multiple strings to her bow.

Richmond has also signed defender Iilish Ross from Collingwood, Phoebe Monahan from GWS and Maddy Brancatisano from the Demons.

Rumours are swirling that they have another big signing in the works, with Monique Conti suggested to be joining the Tigers.
