Garry Lyon has urged Collingwood to recall tagger Levi Greenwood for tomorrow night’s clash against Brisbane at the Gabba.
Greenwood, 30, successfully quelled the influence of Richmond star Dustin Martin in Round 2, before finding himself out of the team for last week’s win over the Western Bulldogs.
With Lions star Lachie Neale in red-hot form, Lyon thinks the Pies stopper could play a huge role in nullifying the prolific midfielder and help his side clinch the four points away from home.
“I would say yes, 100 per cent yes,” the Melbourne great told SEN Breakfast.
“I would always want to try and take away the opposition’s greatest strength. Right now, if Lachie (Neale) isn’t their greatest strength, he would be in their top three.
“If you can diminish his output and reduce his effectiveness by 25 per cent, then I would think that has to help you win the game.”
Neale has collected over 40 disposals in his last three matches in Brisbane’s impressive 3-1 start to 2019.
