Kreuzer, Gibbs, debutants headline Sunday teams

2019-04-19T17:11+10:00

Bryce Gibbs and Matthew Kreuzer headline the team announcements for Sunday with the Crows and Blues receiving significant boosts to their respective midfields.

Gibbs was dropped last week by Adelaide, but has immediately been brought back in at the expense of Josh Jenkins, who has been dropped, as he flagged was possible on 1629 SEN SA Breakfast.

Hugh Greenwood also returns to play his first game of the season after strong SANFL form.

The Blues have brought in Kreuzer after getting a VFL match under his belt. The ruckman’s season was delayed by minor knee surgery.

He replaces Matthew Lobbe in the side, while Jack Silvagni also returns to play his first game of the season, replacing Will Setterfield who has been suspended for two games after a dangerous tackle.

Their opponents the Western Bulldogs have two debutants in midfielder Will Hayes and defender Lachie Young.

The lose Taylor Duryea (hip) and Matt Suckling (groin) and have also omitted key forward Josh Schache.
