“He’s one of my favourite players to watch”: Wallace

2019-04-25T07:52+10:00

Terry Wallace has heaped praise on Fremantle star Michael Walters after his outstanding display in the upset win over GWS.

Walters, 28, had 25 possessions and booted three goals as the Dockers snapped the Giants’ nine-game winning streak in Canberra to move to a win-loss record of 3-2.

The three-time premiership Hawk is a huge admirer of the Freo match-winner.

“He’s a gun. I love watching him play,” Wallace told SEN Afternoons.

“He’s one of my favourite players to watch.”

Wallace also enjoyed seeing Matthew Taberner and prized recruit Jesse Hogan combine beautifully inside the Fremantle forward 50.

“You get a result on the weekend where (Matthew) Taberner and (Jesse) Hogan have 27 marks and six goals between the two of them … six could have been 12,” he added.

“They are doing a heck of a lot right are the Fremantle Dockers.”

Fremantle take on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium on Saturday night in David Mundy’s 300th game.
