GWS has reportedly re-signed superstar midfielder Josh Kelly on a revolutionary contract.
The Daily Telegraph believes the deal is for two years, but contains an American-style player option to extend the deal from anywhere between six and 10 further years.
Kelly was tipped by many to return to Victoria last time he came out of contract, before he elected to re-sign for two years back in 2017.
This contract has the same two-year lock-in, but the 24-year-old having the option to extend that deal for what would likely be the rest of his career would be unprecedented.
According to the Herald Sun in February, Kelly is set to knock back millions to stay with the Giants.
“I do feel an ownership within this club," Kelly told the Herald Sun in February.
“This time round, it’s different. I love it up in here in Sydney, I love the club."
