Injured GWS key forward Jon Patton continues to be linked with a move to Hawthorn, despite remaining under contract for the 2020 season.
The Herald Sun is reporting Patton is being closely monitored by Victorian clubs in case the Giants wish to clear some cap room and trade out the form number one draft pick.
Patton is currently recovering from an ACL tear suffered last year, but is reportedly in excellent shape and ahead of schedule.
The Hawks made the surprising decision to omit former skipper Jarryd Roughead for this weekend’s clash with the Giants and they lack a star key forward on their list.
Hawthorn is one of many Victorian clubs also reportedly linked to GWS star Stephen Coniglio.
