Adelaide to welcome back two stars for Brisbane clash

2019-05-14T10:45+10:00

Adelaide is set to welcome back Paul Seedsman and Richard Douglas for its Round 9 clash with Brisbane at the Gabba on Saturday.

Seedsman has been out since Round 3 due to a knee injury while Douglas has been sidelined since Round 1 with an ankle issue.

Adelaide midfielder/forward Hugh Greenwood says the return of the duo will be a welcome addition to the in-form Crows.

“We’re getting some positive news,” he told SEN SA Breakfast.

“We’ve gone from Seedo (Seedsman) doing the cart of honour off the ground a couple of weeks ago… but he’s back this weekend so that’s awesome.

“Dougy (Douglas) is another one who’s back this weekend."

Greenwood also provided an update on ruckman Sam Jacobs and defender Wayne Milera.

“Sauce (Jacobs) is still a couple of weeks away,” he said.

“Wayney (Milera) has avoided surgery which is huge.

“So a couple of guys that we thought were going to be long-term are going to be back in a couple of weeks and that’ll only make our side stronger.”

The Crows will be aiming to secure their fifth straight win when they take on the Lions on Saturday.
