Collingwood star agrees to bumper new deal: McClure

2019-05-15T18:23+10:00

Collingwood star Taylor Adams has agreed to a fresh five-year contract extension, according to SEN Time On host Sam McClure.

Adams, 25, was due to come out of contract at season’s end, but his new deal will tie him to the Magpies for the forseeable future.

The midfielder has become an important player for the Pies since crossing from GWS at the end of 2013.

“I can tell you that Taylor Adams has agreed to a five-year deal at the Collingwood Football Club,” McClure told SEN’s Time On.

“We know which way the Pies are going; they’re going up and as is Taylor Adams’ salary and his number of years.

“He’ll be there for a while.”

Adams finished second in Collingwood’s Best and Fairest in 2017 and was pivotal in their run to last year’s Grand Final.

The former Giant is currently sidelined with a strained adductor.
